As detailed in the Florida Drug Control Strategy; law enforcement works to decrease illicit drug activity and keep the supply of drugs down, so as to make them harder to obtain. The laws of economics predict that as supplies decrease, prices generally go up, allowing for less affordability and leading to lower consumption.
In this section you will be able to read about certain law enforcement initiatives, which the Office of Drug Control is involved in and you will be able to link to other law enforcement sites that provide detailed information such as the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Florida Highway Patrol.

The Florida Office of Drug Control recognizes this epidemic and has taken a proactive approach to combating methamphetamine abuse. Florida Alliance for Drug Endangered Children – The Florida Alliance for Drug Endangered Children (Florida DEC) is comprised of individuals and organizations concerned about children endangered by caregivers who manufacture drugs, deal drugs or use them and, by doing so, physically or psychologically endanger children.
Florida Department of Law Enforcement – FDLE provides a wealth of information on drug related crimes and other law enforcement issues
Drug Enforcement Administration – National Agency that aims at reducing the availability of illicit controlled substances on the domestic and international markets.

Florida Division of Alcoholic, Beverages and Tobacco – The Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco is responsible for licensing the alcoholic beverage and tobacco industries, for collection and auditing of taxes and fees paid by the licensees, and for enforcing the laws and regulations of the alcoholic beverage and tobacco industries.
