Support staff and members of the Child Abuse Prevention and Permanency Advisory Council conducted a workshop at the 2008 Dependency Summit on 27 August 2008.

Participants in the workshop had the opportunity to explore the different levels of prevention of child maltreatment, the major funding streams for these efforts and the types of programs and initiatives that could be offered to prevent child maltreatment. Participants in this workshop will also had the opportunity to explore and test the use of selected evidence-based no-cost and low-cost options for the prevention of child maltreatment through the use of fundamental units of behavioral influence.
